Abstract

The proper cooling estimation is getting extremely important due to the current rising energy costs. Therefore relevant estimation method should be used by considering all components that affect cooling load in the space. This project looks at using Radiant Time Series method by considering heat losses due to wind to calculate the cooling load of an international hotel in Suva, Fiji Islands. The peak cooling load estimate was in the month of November, noting that opaque surfaces affect the cooling load maximum.
