This study examines the influence of natural soundscapes on tourist satisfaction and loyalty at nature-based tourist attractions (NBTAs).
By examining the causal relationships between tourists’ attitudes toward natural soundscapesThe comparative analysis confirmed the validity of the findings. The findings underscore substantial development implications. Socially, the industry triggers land disputes, community fragmentation, and cultural erosion. Economically, it brings about unequal benefit distribution and dependency. Environmentally, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and
water pollution are observed. These issues exemplify broader development challenges that PNG experiences, where economic
activities often entail social and environmental trade-offs. Emphasizing the importance of balancing economic growth with social equity and environmental sustainability, the paper advocates for addressing these implications by using
indigenous peoples’ experiences to formulate policy frameworks that promote sustainable practices.
