Abstract
The Biblical doctrines of Creation and Incarnation are all about the place of man and the environment - very close to the heart of God in Christian faith. Christianity is not just about the right human relationship with the Creator but with the right relationship as well with all aspects of creation. Very often Christian preaching and teaching have emphasized the human-divine relationship and neglected the horizontal relationship between man and his world or environment. Unless we understand fully our role in creation and the charge given to man by God from the time of creation, we will never have respect and love for the oikomene - the cosmos and the whole inhabited earth.
