Abstract

Fuel Cells (FC) are electrochemical energy converters that deliver higher efficiency and energy density than conventional power source energy. Temperature and current distributions in the cell of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC) are necessary to design the cooling system and optimizing of operating conditions. Temperature and voltage distributions experimentally recorded highlighted the 2 dimensions effects of the single cell and the 3-dimensions effects of the 2-cells. In addition, on the basis of these experimental results a new 3D electric model has been proposed, including the temperature, current and voltage distributions.
