Abstract

Global interventions adopted to stem the spread of
COVID-19 have resulted in international and state border closures, cessation of international and domestic flights and transit, supply chain disruptions, mass closures of businesses and employee layoffs, panic buying, social distancing, enhanced personal hygiene practices, and mandatory and self-isolation. These interventions have
individually and collectively dramatically affected the way people typically work and live their lives (Sharma et al. 2020). Governments across the world have also been forced to make timely and what could be perceived as apparently contradictory decisions, policy changes, nationwide broadcast messages, and advice notifications.
