In recent years, several micro-payment schemes have been proposed for electronic payment in mobile commerce. However some of these proposed schemes are not suitable for multiple vendors. Future mobile systems will involve a large number of users, which will access a variety of information, services and commodities provided by a range of content providers. Mobile electronic payment systems must provide a secure, efficient, usable and reliable environment, which are the key issues in mobile commerce systems development. Therefore, in order to design an efficient micro-payment model suitable for mobile commerce systems we compare and contrast several existing mobile micro-payment models in this paper and outline a new mobile micro-payment scheme called Mobile-Netpay we have been proposing that addresses the disadvantages in current schemes.
