Abstract

This paper introduces a robust method for determining optimal routes in multimodal transport networks that can be used amidst disruptions in the network. Our approach creates a multitude of potential solutions by optimizing multiple objectives while considering the variety of transportation modes and routes. Utilizing the Pareto optimal approach, these solutions are analyzed, ranked, and stored in a tiered table, serving as a dynamic, readily available resource for optimal route selection. Crucially, this table can adapt to reflect network changes, ensuring the generation of the most suitable routes even under altered network conditions. This method increases flexibility and resilience in multimodal transport networks, especially during unexpected disruptions.
