Abstract

The review is of the book by Raeburn Lange that looks at the story of Christianity in the Pacific and the type of Minister and ministry that emerged. While the Christian ministry that emerged was very much the construct of foreign missionaries that brought the gospel to the Pacific, it had within it a Pacific Island twist as islanders came to accept and own the new faith and became missionaries themselves to their fellow islanders.
