Due to the geographical spread of the Pacific Island countries, there is a genuine need to tailor the learning technologies used to deliver quality education. One such learning technology which USP actively interests in is Intelligent Classrooms. The Intelligent Classrooms would ultimately be located in all the USP campuses with networking of intelligent sensors. The intelligent classrooms would be interfaced such that the distance student/staff would be able to interact actively in real time. These intelligent classrooms would give the distance student/staff a chance to interact actively in real time. SmartBoard and virtual group discussions give the teacher to an advantage on the mode of lecture delivery. Live-blog tool is added for students during lectures to discuss and share ideas with other the students in the same lecture from any regional campus. Moreover adding human action recognition and voice to text is also interfaced to ease load on lecturer and convert lecture into subtitles of language preferred by the students.
