Abstract
The paper discusses the processes that were followed by the School of Economics to transform its curriculum. The aim was to have a curriculum that is of high quality and of relevance to the Pacific region. In addition, prepare graduates to be work ready in a complex and changing world. The University of the South Pacific (USP) is committed to ensuring Quality, Relevance and Sustainability of its academic programmes. Central to this commitment and success of the USP Strategic Plan – is the Strategic Total Academic Review (STAR). The STAR project is the mechanism used by USP to achieve its academic commitment. The paper also discusses the challenges that were faced during this transformation process.
